Games for iPad

I enjoy some games on the iPad though I realize there are lots more to chose from.
There are lots that don't appeal to me though as they are aimed at youngsters who enjoy snazzy special effects.
I like crosswords, code words, card games, scrabble and soduko. I'd like to widen my range a bit, so what games do you have on your iPad? Preferably free and it would be good if some can be played offline for times when we may be away where there is no internet access.

The best game I have enjoyed ( not free, but cheap) is Monument Valley.....brilliant I loved it.Logic game......watch out for those rooks!
