On-screen ads

I am used to receiving ads on my screen (tablet) relating to websites that i have visited, but today i am getting ads for mattresses. I haven't triggered these, but I know that DH has been researching them on his phone. Different devices, different users, so how come I am getting these?

Now that's another issue - as a post-menopausal Gran, i'm at a loss to understand why my junk email is smattered with ads for penis enhancements and sex with "hot Russian chicks"! Actually, perhaps the last one was caused by my innocently looking up the word 'bird' in an online dictionary blush

ublock origin is even better than adblock and is smaller app.
uses less of computers memory
