IPhone not updating mail

Mail is updating on my netbook but not my phone. The last email I received was on the 18th July.
My son could sort this out but we are in Jersey on holiday at the moment.
Does anyone know how to sort this out and can advice.

Probably daft question my phone was playing up last time we were in Jersey are you connected to your accommodations internet or running on 4g

Yes, it has happened to me after logging on to the Internet on the cross Channel ferry. I think you have to log into your account using your original password. Try looking in settings to see if there’s a way of doing that.

Just a thought as you haven't had any mail since July more likely to be a glitch than a Jersey problem
I have an Android but have experience this before I deleted my email account then reinstalled it problem solved
