My iPhone is a 6s and I love it but every time I want to make a call on WhatsApp I am told that I cannot make a call when I am on another call….but I am NOT on any call.

Any solution?

Probably, the person you are calling, is on another call?

I have always had a trouble free time on WhatsApp. My brother tends to have unexplained glitches and he clears it by turning his phone off and back on after a few mins. If that doesn’t help he has on occasions removed and reinstalled WhatsApp.

Delete the app and reinstall it?

WhatsApp is free anyway.

I'm surprised that people still use it!

I don't know of any scams and security issues, Hetty58 - can you let us know what these are please?

Also, do people know that you can have whatsapp on a computer? I use it all the time as I can type quickly on a keyboard, whereas my fat fingers make up some wonderful words on my phone grin

I never have scam messages on WhatsApp although I get the odd random dodgy text message. I know it’s now owned by Facebook but it seems more secure than that and I do not get linked adverts either.

I have never had any problems with WhatsApp but I am phasing it out and using Signal with anyone who has it. I have not tried using it for calls, but it would never have occurred to me to call via WhatsApp either. It's generally accepted here that the quality is too bad to understand the other person speaking .

I have never had a problem phoning over Whatsapp and whether the person I phone is in Scotland, Denmark or Germany the sound is fine.

I have however been told by one friend that she didn't receive text messages that I sent her over WhatsApp, but only on two occasions and always by the same person. So I assumed it had something to do with her broadband connection.

Generally speaking if an App doesn't work, I uninstall and re-install it which solves the problem.

As WhatsApp is free of charge, it makes long distance phone calls affordable.

Set your phone back to factory settings and it should be OK.

It is horrible talking to someone through as there are delays. My Mum always calls me through it and it drives me mad

What would they be in relation to Whatsapp? I've never had a problem and not heard of any.

I also have it on my laptop - find it so much easier to type on a proper keyboard!
