The I Am A Robot not working.

This is driving me mad. I press the recapture box saying I am not a Robot but no picture appears for me to identify anything. This has started to happen recently. I had a form sent from Specsavers requiring me to fill in a pre appointment questionnaire . I have tried several times on my iPad and on my Mac but nothing happens. The other day I tried to check a HP parcel and the same thing happened. I have googled the problem but can’t understand where to begin. I am hoping that the clever people on here can help me as you have done before. This is a worry as I have applications to fill in soon for hospitals and I will be stuck if this keeps happening. I would be so grateful if you could help me.

Of course it should be “I am Not a Robot”.

They are awful, half the time you can’t make out what the pictures are meant to be.

I have always found the best way to solve weird computer problems is to ask Professor Google. Amongst the various things that come up you may find the answer. Try googling I am not a robot not working.

Try using Firefox.

Refresh the page that normally clears any issues

Lovetopaint037 Wed 10-Nov-21 10:55:31

Calmlocket How do you “refresh” the page? I am using an iPad. Should I reset my iPad?

Calmlocket Wed 10-Nov-21 11:01:10

No need at the top of the page on the right theres a circle arrow just click that and it will refresh the page

Calmlocket Wed 10-Nov-21 11:01:38

sorry on the left

You may need to clear your cache/ browsing history. Sometimes that sorts the problem.

It happened to me with M&S bank and a few Gransnetters haven't been able to get on this site, until they cleared their history. If you have never done this, you should. It's good IT housekeeping.

Good luck!

Have you considered that you may actually have become a robot, without knowing?

Chewbacca Wed 10-Nov-21 11:29:18

grin I just knew who'd posted that without even looking MissAdventure! grin

If Calmlocket's suggestion hasn't done it, Marydoll's should do.

Attached is a snapshot from my MacBook Pro on how to clear the history. The drop down menu is from the three dots (top right).

Good luck

Thanks Muse I have a PC, so a screenshot wouldn't have helped.

Sometimes I have found that you just have to click on the tick that says 'I am not robot' and you can then proceed without any pictures appearing. I assumed it was a simpler method.

Thank you so much all of you. I have learnt a lot today. Calmlocket . thank you. Had no idea what that circular arrow is used to refresh a page. Thank you Muse for that snapshot as again I had no idea about that drop down menu and the three dots. Marybell I went into settings and cleared my history on Safari which I hadn’t done before but will do regularly from now on. I couldn’t find a way to delete Google history in settings but remember now finding something that does that on the actual Google page so I am going back to that and do as you say. Thank you. Shysal. I will try that as well. Thank you all so much.

Was going to say same thing.

I use Google Chrome on my MacbookPro Lovetopaint037 and the snapshot was me on Google at the time. Clearing browsing data is under More Tools not Settings on that drop down menu.
Hope you get your applications done.

I don’t think I am intelligent enough MissAdventure but thanks for the thought.
