Reading in bed - no more cold hands.

I have just discovered that you can get a remote control for your Kindle Paperwhite. Turn pages without getting freezing hands - keep them under the covers! You also need a way to prop the Kindle where you can see it without using your hands, but that can be done.

Unfortunately it is not compatible with the Kindle Fire. Rats!

I listen to audio books on alexa, when I am in bed,no cold hands or arms for me,I don't have the heating on in my room,as I don't like a hot bedroom,I will only turn it on if there is snow on the ground, and where I live in the uk, we hardly get snow

Looks as as though we all have different views on bedroom temperatures.

We have a window open whatever the temperature. I always sleep better if I have warm pjs, cosy socks, a thick duvet and a slight breeze coming through.

For reading in bed I keep a pair of fingerless gloves under my pillow for if my hands get chilly.

my lovely husband bought me a kindle a couple of years ago as a suprise and I really don’t like it, give mea book any day I just love to turn the pages and get such satisfaction when I’ve finished reading to the end and close the book I realise I’m a bit different to most but hey it’s nice to be different 🤣

Why on earth don't you just heat your bedroom properly?

Then you would not have cold hands when reading in bed.

It is not healthy to live in cold rooms.

Just wear gloves.

I like a real book better too, but the Kindle is useful, take it anywhere and such cheap offers on Kindle books.

I like a cold room and a warm bed so I understand .
I lay on my side with head on pillow, kindle one handed.I could only manage this with a kindle as a book would be too heavy.

I wear gloves.
Don't have a kindle.
But do read or watch things on mobile phone.
The gloves have screen sensitive tips on thumb and forefinger and longest finger.
My room is quite chilly often but I'm OK rolled up in the covers.

I live on the south coast, and the heating goes off at 8pm, - the house temperature never drops below about 18.5c. at night, so cold hands are never an issue, like now, it is getting on for midnight, I’m sat semi-prone in bed with shoulders and arms uncovered - perfectly warm.

I reckon that it depends which part of the country you live in governs the nighttime temperature of your bedroom.

Oh! And kindles are anathema to me😊. Give me an old fashioned book any time. I do have a kindle, languishing in a cupboard somewhere, unloved and unread.
