Everyone probably knows this,, but just in case! I didn't until today thanks to The Oldie mag.
Question:
I use YouTube videos to help with DIY. It's easy to find someone demonstrating the skill I need to use, but often they move through the stages too fast. Can I slow them down?
Answer:
I do the same thing, and it's very helpful, but you often need to watch the video several times, stopping and starting.
I've discovered that you can watch the videos frame by frame. Simply use the space bar to pause the video at any point, then press the full stop key to advance it frame by one frame - or the comma key to go backwards one frame.
Alternatively, you can slow down the actual playback speed of a YouTube video. Tap the Settings cog at the bottom right of the player. Choose the "playback speed" option and you will find you can slow down (or speed up) the footage substantially.
