Where would you go for first solo trip?

This is my first year as a widow and I am a little anxious about travelling alone on holiday. What experiences have others had? Would you recommend a travel operator specialising in singles holidays, if so which one? I am thinking initially taking a short city break - does anyone have any recommendations? I would want to stay somewhere within walking distance of main attractions. Any suggestions?

I am going on a Thomson mediterranean cruise, How does one dry the small items IE Knickers and socks after washing by hand in the Cabin?,

I have been saving 3years for this first cruise, Money is limited so I cant afford to use the laundry services already supplied on the Ship.

In most ships there is a pull out line above the shower or bath. Look for what looks like silver button. I'd been cruising for 3 years beforedd pointed it out to me!
