In September we will be taking the night ferry to St Malo and will arrive early in the morning. We will have the best part of a day to kill whilst waiting for the gite (S of Dianan) to be ready.
Does anyone know this area well? We would like to spend the time at a quiet beach, or by a river or canal; somewhere with some facilities (parking, loos, place to get a snack) but definitely not in a town or built-up area.
Please bear in mind that OH has PD, so anywhere that demands lots of walking/climbing etc is not on for us.
The gite owners have kindly offered to prepare our gite first so that OH can get settled somewhere (he will find the journey stressful - has AF too!)
If anyone has any brilliant ideas I would be most grateful for your thoughts.

If you are going to Dinan or Dinard they are both nice anyway. If you like seafood a plateau or assiette de fruits de mer by the walls in st mall is very quiet and pleasant anyway!

There is a very interesting fort off the coast at St Malo - only accessible when the tide is out as you need to walk to it - guided tours are available and it is very interesting - has had many uses in its time and was used by the Germans for a time in the war.
Lots of lovely places around St Malo to see and watching the boats dock is good too. Enjoy your time on that coast.
