Most areas have on line ex pat forums where you can advertise - we found that a lot of people living in Spain had so many visitors in the summer that they needed to rent iocal properties! As glammanana says the Spanish Government are really cracking down on holiday lettings now

jules Local papers would be the best way really as regarding the cost some of the magazines are silly prices, and advertising locally may give you the chance to meet the people interested and give you some peace of mind as to the clients you are letting your property to.
Be aware that the Spanish government has now got really strict rules on private letting of holiday homes and if you are not registered with the Local Town Hall for such purposes the fines are harsh. It not a new law but one that has been brought into use since last year.We used to live further down the coast in Albir and know the area well we have been back just over 3 yrs now but we sold up and came back just in time to miss the big price drop in the value of property and businesses.
Have you thought of advertising in The Costa Blanca News that is all English and can be viewed online here in UK I know many people who have booked through that.Good luck.

This comes across as advertising, julesnobrain. If you want to do a survey, though, why not contact GNHQ?

Hi I wonder if you could provide me some advice. We have a villa in Javea Spain which we rent out. We advertise on rental holiday websites but in winter we ideally want to attract older retired couples who are looking for a bit of winter sun and want a longer let (6 weeks). Where do you think we should advertise?

Please note we are a couple only not a company so do not have corporate funds to pay for this. I looked into placing an ad in Saga magazine but it was hundreds of pounds. what publications do you read. Do you think we should select a couple of local papers?

Any help or guidence appreciated
