A friend took me home Rosesarered. It wasn't my week for travel, on Sunday my train back to Salisbury from London stopped at Andover where a bus was provided. The bus went through my village but the bus driver refused to let me get off, further along a road was closed so the bus had to turn around and go through my village again!

I arrived in Salisbury even later than I had expected and a taxi home cost £18.30 because no buses run to my village on Sundays.

How did you get home in the end? I hate it when buses simply don't turn up.
Years ago we used to called it 'blobbed' as in 'are you waiting for the 3 pm bus?' 'I was but it blobbed' grin

Yesterday I waited an hour at West Quay Southampton for the 15.10 to Salisbury which didn't arrive. I took the 16. 10 but by the time it arrived in Salisbury the last bus back to my village had gone. There was no-one around to ask for information, I am glad I wasn't a mother waiting in the cold with small children.

If I take a train I know if it's running late and in some instances could claim compensation, why is there a difference for bus travellers? Is it because they can be the most vulnerable in our society and the least likely to get together and complain?
