Have you got a holiday booked? Where are you planning to go? Is air travel involved or will you drive| go on a ship ? How far ahead do you book ?
I’ve just booked us in to go to a part of west Australia we've never been to at the end of August. It takes a 4.5 hour plane trip for us ( I don’t like planes ) but it is so damn big here if you want to go over to the west. Looking forward to swimming with dolphins, maybe seeing some of the wildflowers and just generally going to remote areas.

We are visiting relatives who live near London for a few days next month with the intention of visiting RHS Wisley whilst we are there. In May we are going to Malta and Gozo. We'll book a dog friendly cottage somewhere in England in June so we can have a holiday with Stanley our border terrier and in September I'm going with my younger daughter to Namibia. Daughter and I are also intending to visit Athens for a few days together if she can find time in her busy life. Recovering from my recent accident has made me keen to see a bit more of the world whilst I still can.

Malta is one of my favorite places so jealous !

I’ve booked Menorca for May with a friend. DD2 will find somewhere suitable for her (wheelchair) and me in July - possibly back to Malaga.
I’m hoping my Sis-in-Law fancies doing something in September, but she’s 78 now, which brings problems. We went to Cyprus last year, which we both enjoyed.
Loved Madeira and I’m very jealous of the GNer going to New York. DD2 goes in August.
Our Nile Cruise was a real adventure, but not in a good way, although the sites were amazing and unforgettable.

We are going to Spain in September in the steps of Sharpe. Visiting sites where the first Duke of Wellington won his victories and drove the French out of Spain.

It is the perfect holiday for us. DH has enjoyed watching Sharp on TV. I did not, I dislike historical fiction, but I have been a student of the period of the Napoleonic wars and the Regency period in Britian for over 60 years and have read extensively around the Penninsular Wars and military history and the life of Wellington, so I will enjoy the holiday as much.

It is a non-fly holiday in a luxury coach. I suffer from travel sickness but know from previous experience that I am OK in top range coaches on motorways, it is off motorway and local buses where I suffer most and I have carefully traced the intinerary on maps of Spanish and French motorways. There is very little off motrway or city travelling.

We went to Egypt in 1996 and it was a wonderful experience - Cairo, the Museum, Abu Simbel, Lake Nasser, the Nile, Luxor and the Valley of the Kings. Quite memorable. Enjoy it!

Lots of camping trips around this country in my wee Campervan and 5 nights on a shopping trip with friends to my favourite city, Istanbul at the end of May. Will plan backpacking trip to somewhere SE Asia for later in the year.

Isle of Wight for me quite soon. My besty lives there and, sadly, she's no longer fit enough to travel so ....this mountain goes to Lady Mohammed. So looking forward to seeing her again.

Check wisley is open . It’s been closed s frw times recently due to the ongoing roadworks. Plus the traffic jams have been horrendous in that area ,

We’ve just returned from a holiday in Mexico and tomorrow my dd and I are having a city break in Malaga for 3 days. Then it’s Greece in September. DH is 70 in December and can’t decide what he wants to do . We both loved South Africa for his 60 , so Namibia is on the list .

There are some wonderful trips planned here! I'm a bit jealous since it's so far for us to travel from Western Canada to Europe and you all pop down for long weekends!

Having said that, we are planning 3 weeks in Spain for September, starting and ending in Barcelona. We haven't planned any of it yet really, except the flight! I hope we can fit in San Sebastian , even though it is a long way away.

In June we are travelling around BC, including visiting family in kelowna and Victoria, then take the ferry north and home.
