Anyone have a good "upright chair" for use on sand?

What are you using, please, Cornergran?
I do like the idea of a higher backrest to be honest.

I'm slightly wary of lots of camping chairs because of the "umbrella legs" (lots are a bit like this one) ...
Has anyone used them on sand?

Directors chairs have worked for us in the past but we moved on to higher backed camping chairs. If you can access one I’d suggest a visit to a caravan/camping accessories outlet, they usually carry an excellent range of lightweight chairs and it’s easy to try them all.

This make doesn't have a distributor over here in the UK but I've found a similar one by doing an.image search.

Have a look at the Lafuma directors' chair. It has a bar each side and doesn't have legs so it would not sink in the same way on the beach.

How about something like the Chaise Pinguin Directors Chair, which I found a photo of on Amazon and then lost, sorry! Just wanted to say that if you choose a chair which folds and has a comfy seat and arms, the chair should have a solid bar each side going from front to back, rather than 4 individual legs and fiddly feet which will get stuck in the sand when you try to get up!

Would a canvas directors chair fill the bill? You’d have the arms to help you up.
