Northern Ireland which was a big adventure because we had to get there on a Ferry crossing from Liverpool.
It might have become even more memorable as my mum was wearing a brooch with a photo of our late Queen ! Fortunately she was advised to remove it before we reached dry land.

Highlights of the holiday were having the youngest member of our party disappear though the back door of the van we were travelling in just outside Bath, ( all the children were sitting on cushions!), sliding down the stairs on trays at the guest house, nearly being drowned on Chesil beach and having awful sunburn on my shoulders. We had a wonderful time!

1960s, a caravan in Aberystwyth, we travelled from Birmingham in a motor cycle side car. There's a picture of me and my mum up on a mountain with a sheep I must be about 4 I'm clutching her skirt, love that picture (she died when I was 13) and of course, fewer pictures taken in those days so I do treasure it.

Jaywick just after the flooding in 53. Ou chalet was full of sea stained furniture and Dad complained so we were moved to a different chalet. Can’t remember anything else about it except we took my auntie as well.
