Did anyone else see this last night? I thought it was inspirational and was moved to tears when they sang in the indoor market at the end. I really wish I'd recorded it, as I would like to see it again!
I am in a choir locally called la la Exmouth. My choir is very similar to the one shown on tv last night, but lots more older ladies as well. Our choirmaster (a lady called Sam) will be on the last episode as she taught the military choir a song, as a thank you to Garethfor teaching them and being their choirmaster. I can't wait to see her on TV!

dillonsgranma I shall try to come and see the la la choir when you sing at Dart's Farm on December 14th. There's already another thread about Gareth's Military wives choir.

Hello HildaW - my granny used to live in Lympstone and we spent all our holidays there - such wonderful memories! My brother and I used to walk from her house to the station (from quite a young age) clutching cossies and a picnic, and take the steam train along the estuary to Exmouth for the day - I don't think we would have been allowed to do it now, but we loved it!

My family then moved to Exmouth while I was in my first term at Uni so I was an sort of Exmouth resident, and got married there.

Mishap, I remember going to the Royal Marine's open days at Lympstone...it always ended with a wonderful musical session on the parade ground.

We too were out and about walking places on our own, it was a wonderful place to spend all our summer and Easter holidays. Grandma would take us down to the front no matter what the weather so we could swim until out teeth chattered, and then swig hot tea and have slabs of her gingerbread.
