Such a wonderful series - why nit-pick! I had my first child, admittedly not in the East End, but It was pretty accurate but such a delightful series - why criticise?

janepearce6, it was a wonderful series, and yes, I'm sure they got things wrong, but I think picking holes in television scripts is becoming a national sport. It didn' t stop 10 million viewers tuning in to the last one though.

I`ve read that there`s another series planned, I do hope it`s true!

Apparently, they can't find any information on Chummy (according to the Radio Times). Has anyone seen that? They're wondering if she actually existed

Hey! in no way am I nit-picking I was just commenting that one of our special GNers nanapug had been mentioned and given her nationwide fame and it also lets other GPs know that GN is alive and kicking and having our thoughts taken seriously.

Thank you glamma for letting me know. Like you I was in no way anti the program, in fact it is the best program I have seen for a long time. Just joining in with the discussion that was on the thread. I have particularly enjoyed it as I was a midwife in London in the seventies, cycling round on my bike round the Elephant and Castle but am also an expert on Triumph Doreen bras as it is what I have worn since the sixties!!! Shame I didn't buy the paper but I am not a fan.
