The Young Montalbano

I've been pleasantly surprised by the Young Montalbano and find him quite credible, including bandiness. I do so hope, though, that he's not a permanent replacement for the mature Salvo, any idea when he may be on screen again? Mind you, with Borgen starting again soon, I shall enjoy the autumn Saturday nights, too.

MONTALBANO ALERT Incase you don't spot it the old boy is back this evening. I can't believe our luck - I thought we'd have to wait a bit after the running of the young series.

The "new" Livia is a bit wooden. Mind you, after tonight's episode, she will have good reason to be a bit frosty - will she find out?

Oh Salvo - will you never learn?

I'm a newer convert to Montalbano. Only saw a couple of episodes last time. I loved the humour and gorgeous setting.

Oh dear - the young one has spoilt me....

What on earth did Salvo find exciting about Angelina? Mr soop stayed wide-eyed and bushy tailed whenever she made a discreet entrance.

gracesmum ...as my Nana would have said...she's no better than she ought to be! Never did quite get the drift of that statement.

I wasn't impressed by the new Livia. She seemed at least 10 years younger for a start and the great thing about the original one was that she was not in the first flush of youth but still as sexy as hell. This one looks far too young to have ever wanted to adopt Francoise.

I agree that the new Livia is not up to the job Just not sexy enough
