more like 'up the creek, and without a paddle!' I had looked forward to the return of Jonathan, but oh dear! it was not the same tv show. No Adam Klaus [his former boss] and suddenly he is married? To somebody [that I] haven't seen on a Creek programme.He looks old and tired, and so did the plot and the writing.No sparkle or real repartee. The viewer knew how the actress was stabbed [and it had been covered up, literally] from the outset.Very poor sad

Not sure about that petallus but I know the old name for the entrails and other nasty bits was called shambles.

Umbles were innards. A shambles was an area where animals were slaughtered and butchered - where blood guts and dung collected.

In medieval times the offal ( or umbles) of the deer slaughtered in a hunt would be given to the servants who would eat them in an umble pie. Obviously all the good stuff went to the Lord of the Manor and his friends.
