Well I'm worried about how the Olivia Coleman character is managing everything! She has been downgraded from DS to PC so must have had a pay cut, but she has a house she doesn't live in which must be mortgaged, must be paying rent somewhere and has a childminder! She can't afford it! And she does so much- works as a traffic cop, waits outside court, acts as lookout, helps deliver baby, goes clubbing. When does she do the shopping and washing?
I was worried what she had done with the baby but apparently she has the best childminder ever!

Yes - and Alec doesn't actually seem to go to work at all.

The scene where Alec is taken to apologise to the other chap (name forgotten) by a PC - like a naughty schoolboy who has been knocking on doors and running away - that was a bit off the wall.

But I am enjoying it!

I was riveted by the last series, but this one has finally defatted me, it's now so silly. I sat and read a book through last night's episode.

I may have missed someone else asking this question, but who is paying for the house that the woman who David Tennant is shielding is living in? And all the bills? I may have got it wrong, but didn't he say this was just an unofficial witness protection scenario, organised by him alone?

The whole thing is getting more unbelievable by the week, but I must admit I'm still enjoying it.

I feel sorry for Olivia C and David T and indeed all the other actors, who were lumbered with this dreadful script.

I caught up with Broadchurch last night and I'm still enjoying it. I didn't have a problem with the character who went to court to watch proceedings the day after giving birth. The birth was complication free, all she was doing was sitting and she's understandably obsessed as the man on trial is alleged to have murdered her son.

Her attending the court proceedings was the least of the numerous ridiculous things to happen. Still love it though, another great cast and as someone already said, I could watch Olivia Coleman endlessly, what an actor

Tegan they throw you out the same day now if you get into hospital at certain times, so I was out shopping the day after DS was born - in the snow!

After DD was born I couldn't walk properly for about three weeks, mind you.

But who was feeding the baby and why wasn't she oozing milk everywhere?

Amazing breast pads now, and it's a magic baby that will never need to be fed or changed.

Her daughter was feeding the baby and milk doesn't usually start oozing on day 2 (does it - not in my experience anyway)

Mind you - in her situation, I'm sure most newly delivered mothers would have been unable to stop weeping in the court room.

I suppose her milk wouldn't have come in yet (if it was real life!). The older daughter was waiting outside the Court with the baby in its pram...

The only thing I can't take seriously is the casting of Meera Syall as the judge, keep expecting her to say something amusing. Oh, apart from everything mentioned so far.

Oh yes - I did think that was a big casting mistake!
