What has happened to the Ten o'clock news? We now have something called Outside Source (what that relates to I do not have any idea). It's a chap in front of a big computer screen with lots of little boxes which he taps to access a news item.
It reminds me of ITV's Open/Shut ? That Box where there were prizes hidden in the boxes.
Let's return to a newscaster sitting behind a table and delivering the news. I don't like it when they have to stand up and give the news either. I often notice the women newscasters if they have a bit of a tum on them hold their papers in front of their stomach. 
I have been known to do that on family photos.
