Rob has serious competion for the baddie role from Mr Compeyson in 'Dickensian'.

I agree, starbird, Mr C. is a right ba***rd isn't he?

I cannot remember hearing anyone actually say Helen is looking thin. Do we just assume she is not eating and trying to fob everyone off? Or I am seriously missing something?

I think the Rob/Helen scenario is a good one though, it is believable given the issues that have beset Helen in the past.

Starbird and Shysal - I've been thinking exactly that, perhaps he's an ancestor!! Two wonderfully manipulative characters very well written!

Compeson should get his comeuppance but will Rob. Sad to think of Helen ending her days amidst cobwebs.

The trouble with Dickensian is knowing the fates of several of the characters. Compeyson lives on to exploit other people. It was poignant to see Nancy looking happy as she sang in the pub.

It's almost unbearable to,listen to. Rob has now undermined Helen to the headteacher, caused Henry to have a meltdown at school and managed to scare Helen into accepting she's the one at fault
