I don't think Kirsty will let up on her concerns about Helen.

I only listen to the omnibus edition so may be behind on some things, but am I the only one to find Ruth's voice irritating, and I want to scream at her to stop making a martyr of herself over her mum's death. I thought the way Heather went was beautiful - she was singing, happy, looking forward to the future. What a way to go, instant and painless. Better than surviving another stroke that would maybe leave her needing even more care, and possibly not being able to communicate at all.
As for Rob, obviously got his eyes on Helen's inheritance, I don't rate her chances once the baby is born! He must be about due to get another girlfriend on the side.

Incidentally why are some posters so negative about Henry? He's just a little boy, he didn't choose his mother or stepfather (sorry, 'real daddy') and parrots whatever he hears around him. At last, Helen's finally broken down. Unsurprising since he'd isolated her, even from Henry, with his 'considerate' suggestions over breakfast. If ever there was time to challenge him it was when he wouldn't let her show the scan to her parents. I just hope she isn't fragile enough to consider suicide.

Adam's role model in the fidelity stakes is the marvellous Brian. Piano does deserve a more loyal partner but at least he won't be left bringing up one of the results of Adam's dalliance in the way Jennifer has.

Yes it is interesting that Adam always seems to have been the dominant partner in his relationship - if he had decided to quit his job then Ian was willing to follow. Come on Ian - show us your muscles!

And I agree with the previous poster who is worried about darling Ian - Adam is going to break his heart but he will be so much better off and will find someone who deserves him and will actually think about HIS happiness as well as their own.

When is the head of the family (Tony) going to point out to Rob that they cannot afford to pay him what he probably thinks he's worth to manage the shop and it's time he went out and got himself a proper job to support his wife, whom he wants to take it easy?

I think the cafe decor will be all stainless steel and leather. Rob will bring in a manager who will turn out to be his other wife who has been unable to have children. They will then set about proving that Helen is unfit to bring up Henry and the baby due to losing her mind ( evidenced by Rob) Rob and wife will then disappear into the sunset with the children. Helen will become a very strange batty lady who is sometimes seen stirring the cheese vat while crying and lamenting her lost life and wondering where it all went wrong. However The villagers of Ambridge will club together and hire a hitman who will push Rob off his horse and he will be savaged to death by the hounds ( a just punishment for Scruff) the children will be returned to Helen and everyone will live happily ever after. But perhaps I am just a little bored this afternoon

Iam64 you are right but I was looking at this in the context of The Archers having originally started to give information to the farming community and has moved on to cover very many topical issues. I think this is another one which they should cover.

Yes, I will take any opportunity to draw attention to the misconception that it is only men who damage women and children. I did start a thread very recently which referred to a poster in London which gives the impression that only men batter children but, despite me bumping it up, there was very little interest. It seems that people just don't want to know but I suspect if it had been about damaged women it would have run and run.

Big debate going on in our house as to how Scruff, who presumably drowned in the flood (was it last Feb) could have got into the silage clamp.

Doesn't Berrow Farm have their silage contracted? In which case which farm did it come from?

How come Scruff didn't end up 'precision chopped?'

Wouldn't Scruff have been well rotted by May when silage is made?
