Junior Bake Off

I have been recording and watching the new series this week. The children are doing quite well, but they are so clumsy and forgetful that they are driving me nuts! There are forgotten ingredients and dropped or tipped over bakes every few minutes.
Is anyone else watching it and do you agree?

I have never watched Bake Off, either adult or junior, but I do hope they do not do that grim "And the person who will be told to b****r of this week is..." with the children.

At the moment there are 4 contestants per day, and only one goes through to the next round, so at least there are three 'losers' each time.

My eldest DGD (aged 9) loves the junior bake off and reckons that she could beat them all hands down. She probably could as she is a fantastic little baker. She needs no help whatsoever now and can produce a beautifully decorated sandwich cake, muffins, Swiss role (her current favourite) cookies, scones etc. that would be the envy of any experience cook. My mum has a fabulous Kitchen Aid and if my DGD can get her little hands on it she's in heaven.

gillybob, your DGD sounds better than those on Bake Off! Does she clear up after herself as well? Some of my DGCs like to bake (they love the word 'moist'), but the kitchen looks like a war zone afterwards.
