Didn't realise there was another thread so will post again here.
The add made me cry, I won't be watching it again...and I just hope that my GS doesn't see it, he even has a resemblance to my dh
it's very sad and to me a thoughtless add.
We all know how children's minds work and I can imagine lots of children asking for telescopes thinking that they may see granddad again whom they think has gone to heaven(yes I know it shows the moon but little ones will no doubt think its heaven with a little house that granddad lives in)
Children watch these adds, it the same when they show moving lego/dolls/spaceships. jumping about and moving themselves, making the toys look like they are animated, when we as adults know they are static.
I think the add has so many uncomfortable meanings, those of us who have lost family members and friends, those who cannot see their families for what ever reason...it is a very tasteless add.
