Patrick McBride ... GOOOOOOD Choice!!! And a fireman - I'm not one to ogle or swoon, but he has got that 'something'! I think my DH was quite surprised by my reaction when watching Breakfast TV this morning grin

I have had to explain to my grown up children what this is all about. Clever of Cadbury to revitalise this as an advertising ploy and I suspect sales of Milk tray will start to climb. smile

Agreeing totally Imperfect he does look the part imo,and what a great start to the day seeing him on Breakfast this am,and to make matters better he works not too far from me in Chester.Firemans lift anyone ? grin

Yes he looks very nice but the chocolates - No thank you. They never were that special and now that Cadbury is no longer Cadbury- I dread to think. Prestat or Hotel Chocolat for me please.

NanaandGrampy Wed 03-Feb-16 09:09:39

I used to quite like Dairy Milk but they changed out a lot of the traditional centres for ones I wasn't so keen on.

Of course if delivered by the milk tray man I'd be suitably grateful grin

Super choice teetime I do love Hotel Chocolat

Charleygirl Wed 03-Feb-16 14:43:59

I never did like the chocolates but he seems a natural for the job.

Hmm a real hero delivering chocolate perfect x

Imperfect27 Thu 04-Feb-16 09:50:42

Yes, I think I would easily be able to overlook the fact that they are not my favourite brand grin

Hated Milk Tray (Black Magic for me!) and the adverts were always naff, but can't see any point in changing the "Lady Loves . . . " advert for this new chap who to me looks more or less the same as the last. Thought they were planning to have a female delivery person - but guess no-one would believe in her!

Lupatria Thu 04-Feb-16 11:51:04

totally agree with skweek1 although i don't hate milk tray.

but i also agree with other posters - i'd definately LOVE milk tray if he delivered them!

Sorry, lovely he may be but nothing could persuade me to buy Cadbury's Milk Tray! What is it about a uniform that makes even your average-looking man so attractive?

Alima Thu 04-Feb-16 12:42:33

The new MT man reminds me of George Lazenby who was the Chrunchie man before being 007. Agree there are some lovely firemen about, we used to have a calendar in the office showing them looking very nice. We got rid of the dates and kept the pictures. (Keep seeing pictures of the Poldark chappy in the press. Am I the only one who thinks nice bod, shame about the face?)

witchygran Thu 04-Feb-16 12:45:33

No, Alima, you are not the only one!

chrissyh Thu 04-Feb-16 13:25:16

I used to love milk tray but find them awful these days - like cheap chocolate - but wouldn't say no if he delivered them.

annodomini Thu 04-Feb-16 14:44:18

Forget the second rate chocs. I'll have the fireman!

Foxyferret Thu 04-Feb-16 15:57:27

I think milk tray went downhill when Kraft bought the company. They never were great but now they are yuk. My mum used to work at Cadbury years ago and they used to buy bags of "chocolate waste" cheap in the firms shop. Even they were better than they are now. As for new milk tray man, he would need something better to impress me.

Cosafina Thu 04-Feb-16 16:06:29

I haven't tried milk tray since Kraft took over, but generally find Cadbury's has gone downhill - they're probably trying to turn it into yukky Hersheys, but even Americans preferred our original Cadbury's to their own Hersheys!

Agree about Hotel Chocolat - that place has a lot to answer for around my middle!

Imperfect27 Fri 05-Feb-16 08:11:37

Thorntons for me - especially their cappuccino chocs ... now if THEY were delivered by a fireman, that really would be my idea of chocolate heaven grin

I agree with the comments about the man, very tasty. Cadbury's chocolate not. I was a big Cadbury fan, lovely creamy chocolate. Not now I find it leaves a really unpleasant taste. Have they changed the recipe? Even the tasty man won't be tempting me to buy it.

Imperfect27 Fri 05-Feb-16 13:28:12

Kraft have chnaged something key I think, -to my kind Cadburys Milk just doesn't taste the same. There has been a bit of press about them using cheaper chocolate in the cream eggs as well as making them smaller too - sacrilege! sad

Imperfect27 Fri 05-Feb-16 14:07:14

Whoops mind, not kind - I haven't learned to do that crossy-out thingy yet smile

pollyparrot Sat 06-Feb-16 09:54:16

I would.
