And away we go again!

Lazigirl Wed 25-May-16 08:12:59

What is also quite remarkable is that the actress who plays Peggy is about 96 I think.

merlotgran Wed 25-May-16 09:23:21

Because the 'Grimfest' is swamping nearly every episode I suppose past storylines that have just disappeared will be dropped in our laps as though they never went away.

The reference to Kate's yurts made it sound as though her business is up and running rather than being a non-starter and Ian is sending flowers. What we really need to know is whether Ian has told Adam that he knows about the NY kiss with Charlie and Rob's attempt to wreck their wedding.

No doubt there will be more casual references in order to tie up some loose ends.

Gracesgran Wed 25-May-16 12:14:27

I wonder if Ian realises yet what Rob was doing in separating Helen from her friends. I wonder if he will be able to see that was what was - quite difficult to work out for himself I would think but you never know he may as he felt the "other" character of Rob for himself. (stop laughing, I can't think how else to put it grin)

We need them to get to the truth. This was a drunken Charlie kissing Adam on new year's eve and Adam, though he may have thought about it didn't take it any further in my memory. If Adam and Ian can see how he twisted and used it that they may be able to help.

I've had a peek at the Mumsnet spoilers thread. I won't say anything on here but finally, finally it looks like there might be a glimmer.

Luckygirl Wed 25-May-16 13:27:02

"Helen's much loved bran" - have you had a wine or two Iam64!? Or is Helen a bit constipated!! grin

Gracesgran Wed 25-May-16 14:29:46

Interesting merlotgran. The Total TV ones are much more enlightening than the BBC ones.

Iam64 Wed 25-May-16 15:28:24

Not been at the alcohol Luckygirl, I'm using an iPad which appears to have developed magical powers, otherwise known as predictive text, except it seems to be retrospective predictive text ?

eGJ Wed 25-May-16 16:36:14

June Spencer OBE was born 14 June 1919 so nearly 97 and Peggy Woolley, née Perkins, formerly Archer (born 13 November 1924)Hope I'm going as strong at that age!!smile

AyjayF Wed 25-May-16 16:56:14

Does anyone else remember when Ian punched Rob?

Gracesgran Wed 25-May-16 17:08:18

I had forgotten - it's here. Ian certainly had the measure of Rob so he may try to help but I wonder how he couldconfused

grannymouse303 Thu 26-May-16 14:08:52

I agree. I think it was just right and acted and recorded so well that I don't think I breathed for the entirety of the scene!

Nelliemoser Thu 26-May-16 22:07:05

Lazigirl I found the tone of voice in which Helen said "The baby looks like Rob" was really chilling. That poor baby.

Gracesgran Thu 26-May-16 22:18:15

I enjoyed tonight - hearing about what was happening re Helen via the normal conversation of other characters. I think we may hear more of that as it must be time to give the actors a break smile

(Is Lillian about to have and affair?)

Luckylegs9 Thu 26-May-16 22:27:51

How old must Lillian be, she cavorts about like a youngster. Wouldn't the prison register the baby? It would be awful if he was called after Rob's family, if Rob did register the birth with a name Helen didn't want could she do anything about it. I don't know it's one problem after another.

Gracesgran Thu 26-May-16 22:40:50

Lillian was born in 1947, in July so she is about to be 69. I shall be 67 this year and I am sure I could cavort with the right encouragementgrin

I agree, I think the prison would arrange the registration of the baby. In fact I think the reason stated for sending the mums to hospital (I have a feeling this is comparatively new) is so the prison does not appear on the birth certificate - the child is not serving a sentence. I think it just shows how deluded Rob is and how easily he can convince even those of us who know him for what he is that he could do these things.

AyjayF Fri 27-May-16 19:16:11

Jack Anthony. I was right!!

phoenix Fri 27-May-16 19:17:36

Well! She did go for "John", to be known as "Jack" !

Elrel Fri 27-May-16 19:17:40

Phew, a good start to the weekend with Helen coming to her senses!!

Elrel Fri 27-May-16 19:20:46

Tom and Jazzer back together, almost a bromance!! I guess there will be a bombshell somewhere next week to balance all this joy.ï

phoenix Fri 27-May-16 19:32:54

I must admit that when I pick up the Radio Times tomorrow morning, I will be having a look at the synopses (?) for hints as to what might be happening?

Gracesgran Fri 27-May-16 21:14:02

I would say Helen keeps moving forward rather than "coming to her senses" Elrel; she has had a lot to cope with. Yet again well done Peggy. I loved the bit when she said he would have the names of three good men - she is fighting again [hooray]

And the Tom and Jazzer bit lifts the spirits and Tom had a little chat with Pat - my son does that but thankfully not in such awful circumstances - kindly done.

I agree Elrel, I wonder what will prick the balloon of joy. I think Sunday may be interesting but I will be picking up the Radio Times tomorrow too smile

Lazigirl Sat 28-May-16 16:32:25

I didn't hear all last night's episode but couldn't wait so caught up on here. Thank goodness the gloom is lifting. This damn addiction Archers programme is dominating my life. Is there an AA group I can join?

Alea Sat 28-May-16 17:04:02

I just hope Helen is quick enough off the mark to register Jack before the poor little chap becomes a "Gideon".
I would love to see Rob go ballistic IN PUBLIC, might make a few people think!

AyjayF Sun 29-May-16 19:49:39

I love the idea of a Jumble Trail. Never heard of it before.

Gracesgran Sun 29-May-16 20:50:18

Me too AyjayF. I wonder when it will appear in a village near us smile
