Just watched on BBC IPlayer a new series episode 1. It starts on normal BBC1 this Thursday at 9.00pm. It was fast moving and a good story line.

We watched the first episode today 1 of 3 it was very good can't wait to watch the other two on iplayer tomorrow..

I agree, quite riveting, but I find all the coincidences a bit much (wont go into detail so as not to be a spoiler). I notice this lately with films and dramas and it seems a bit of a cheat.

Excellent !

Surely the 'coincidences' are the whole point !!

Not my sort of thing really but thought I'd have a look. Found it quite riveting, liked the characters, the pace, even the police 'banter'.How often do we see police work in pouring rain? Interrupted by a phone call so will have to catch up. Maybe it could be my sort of thing after all.

I loved it and DH even stayed awake!

Pittcity Fri 10-Jun-16 08:18:32

I was a bit confused at first but soon got into it. Very different. Another one to recommend.

Nice to see our multicultural society reflected in the characters - for a change!

PRINTMISS Fri 10-Jun-16 08:41:00

We watched and enjoyed - but THAT DOOR! how did that happen? Not saying too much else, but hope others who watched know what I am
talking about.

Jenty61 Fri 10-Jun-16 09:04:52

gripping drama...the undercover cop asked the workman for a saw and he sawed the door hinges to get into the doctors office to get the info ...

tanith Fri 10-Jun-16 09:12:47

We watched it Iplayer on Sunday as 3 episodes were there we have one more to watch. It's different but very good.

TerriBull Fri 10-Jun-16 09:29:05

I watched it and found it fast paced and exciting, but alas fell asleep, not because it was boring, but husband tells me I have missed crucial moments and won't tell me what they are, so will have to catch up on IPlayer.

PRINTMISS Fri 10-Jun-16 12:25:20

Yes Jenty I thought that, BUT if he sawed the door in order to get in, why did it not fall inwards after he had done that, and how did it stay locked, AND how did he get it back standing up again? I know, I always say it is only entertainment, and not true to life, but I really thought that was taking things too far. Won't stop me watching though, about time something decent was shown on t.v. sure sign it is summer!

Finally watched the 3rd episode on iplayer , we really enjoyed it. Does anyone know if the other 3 episodes will be available on iplayer or do we have to wait for the normal BBC channel to catch up to the 4th episode?
Hope that makes sense to someone grin

GrandmaKT Mon 13-Jun-16 19:10:25

We enjoyed it BUT - is it really that horrible working for the CID? I didn't think any bosses spoke to their employees in the rude insulting way that the line manager treated the new guy. Seemed more like a cop show from the 1970s in that respect...

Pittcity Mon 13-Jun-16 21:26:53

I think they'll put the next case on iplayer once this one has finished on normal TV ie. Thursday week.

Grannyknot Sun 26-Jun-16 13:15:30

I thought that was it after this week? Pretty confusing. So are there 7 episodes altogether?

grandmaKT I also thought it was a bit much the way the bosses were shouting at their staff...

gettingonabit Sun 26-Jun-16 13:33:38

I've seen both iplayer episodes (Case 2). Utterly incomprehensible. And very, very daft. I'm not sure whether it's supposed to be serious.

LullyDully Sun 26-Jun-16 18:30:52

We love this .They are such sparky, likeable characters. I enjoy the love / hate relationship. The story moves fast without too much confusion. It makes me laugh.
