I wondered about the floor lamp in the marble base. Were they allowed to keep it? I saw it as a prop on a drama this week! ?

Loved the exterior, hall, bathroom, bedroom. I wasn't keen on the lounge. A bit too contemporary I thought.

smile Hannah, you think £10,000 wouldn't be enough? Aw, pity. shock

mrsmopp, I'm sure George would come and tart up your house and do a fabulous job. Just make sure your pockets are about twice as deep as your original budget!

I want the lovely George to come and tart my house up!
I'm stuck in a rut.

Loved it, Art Deco house was a triumph. I have an Art Deco tea trolley, inherited from my Ma, just need the house to put it in now.

I haven't seen this but I love house programmes and George (phwoar!!) I'll look for it on catch up when DH is at Bowls! grin

Love George, he's easy on the eye too grin
I also love art deco. I missed this episode so I'll be watching catch up. Thanks for the heads up.

I've really enjoyed the series, having completely renovated some old houses myself. I also thought that the best was definitely kept till last.

The interior was stunning! I particularly liked the tip of reusing the original floor boards from the bedroom to match up in the sitting room.

The view helped!

Has anyone been watching George Clarke's latest series?
I've been critical of him in the past, just because he always goes over budget.

Not much said about budgets in this series but I've loved everything he's done. Last night's Art Deco house in Newquay was stunning when he'd finished with it.
I'm not sure if he's entirely responsible for the interior decor but if he is he's got a wonderful eye for interior design as well as architecture.
