Kaz has been painted as a sympathetic character. She has also been assessed and found to be safe and stable enough to be allowed to live in the mother and baby unit, despite her history of self harm. I maybe in my Pollyanna mode here but my feeling is that this trauma upon trauma may be a catalyst for Helen to begin to realise her experiences have been similar to those of Kaz. Kaz told Helen that Blake would never let her daughters go now he'd got hold of them. Will this lead to Helen making comparisons .with her own situation.
But yes, a shocking end to what had been a very enjoyable episode. I loved Brian's comments about his dreadful children and Jen's summary of Madam Butterfly, followed by Brian's slightly embarrassed Humph
