"Alas poor Scruff, I knew him well, who could forget that pungent smell?"

Now phoenix, I don't think we need to think too much about Justin and Lilian. As long as Lilian is kept supplied with G&T's, gets to go to the Mozart, the races etc, I'm content and would rather not delve any further (no double entendre intended)

I'm surprised how anti Shula many Archers fans are. I expect her to do the right thing here and ignore the weak creep she's married to. It's a pity that Dr Locke and Elizabeth are going to have a fling because I'd rather hoped Shula would send Alistair packing and rekindle her romance with the Doc. Elizabeth is due a bit of fun and a relationship and I'm not entirely sure Dr Locke fits that bill.

Am I missing Toby and the silly Pip?....... No!

phoenix Tue 02-Aug-16 23:08:24

Actually, on that sort of subject, do you think Justin needs a bit of (ahem) "help" and Lilian (who is, I think very much of a "certain age") might be not as well oiled as she might be?

Nothing to do with the large G&T's, if you get my drift. blush

phoenix Tue 02-Aug-16 23:02:15

No, and it's not scene I want to contemplate!

AyjayF Tue 02-Aug-16 22:52:36

Does anyone else remember when Shula + Neil spent night together on Lakey Hill?

AyjayF Tue 02-Aug-16 20:57:58

Come on, Shula. Which way are you going to jump?!

phoenix Tue 02-Aug-16 20:27:15

Shula has done some "bad stuff" in the past, not being accepting of Alan and Usha getting married for one, so it's about time she redeemed herself!

And wasn't Alistair (apart from the gambling) involved with some sort of dodgy doings with the racehorse owned by Matt (aka "Tiger" )??????

merlotgran Tue 02-Aug-16 20:02:09

It might just jog David and Jennifer's memories if they learn that Shula has admitted she lied to the police.

IMO blocking the culvert was a far worse crime than thumping a hunt sab.

What a blinkered lot they are.

And yes. Alistair is a total arse.

Iam64 Tue 02-Aug-16 19:55:52

Alistair is not a good support for Shula. She saved the day when his gambling almost led to bankrupcy, he's a weak creep. There is no way she'd be imprisoned and I can't imagine her being prosecuted. The sooner she talks to a solicitor and goes to Anna and possibly the police, the better for Shula, not to mention Helen.

Lazigirl Tue 02-Aug-16 19:48:02

Alistair should support his wife IMO. They both irritate me to be honest.

LullyDully Tue 02-Aug-16 19:27:36

She is too worried not to say something. She is a very strict Christian. If not we will write to her. Anyone got her email?

Gracesgran Tue 02-Aug-16 19:27:09

But Alistair may well not be aware of the significance phoenix. I would advise Shula to talk to Anna before she goes to the police but her conscience may be pricking too much to do that.

phoenix Tue 02-Aug-16 19:17:39

Alistair, you arse!

Shula actually said that Rob "bullied" her into saying what she said at the time, pretty significant choice of words, I think!

Gracesgran Tue 02-Aug-16 19:03:32

I hope you all have a lot of hair - I feel we may be pulling it out over the next few weeks. There are more spoilers on Mumsnet for those who want to feel even more frustrated.

merlotgran Tue 02-Aug-16 17:51:59

Is Dominic on extended gardening leave?

Lazigirl Tue 02-Aug-16 17:36:20

Hurrah. A solicitor has appeared at last and one who seems to be more personable than angst-ridden Anna. Scriptwriters must have been reading our posts! Bit of a twist Rob engaging Emma and true to form he is already stressing compliance with his strict child care rules to Emma, but as others have said she won't be cowed by him. Hopefully she will be a spy in the camp........

AyjayF Tue 02-Aug-16 14:17:04

Good news for Henry too. Time out of that oppressive house

merlotgran Tue 02-Aug-16 13:58:51

Rob is employing someone who has been a good friend to Helen in the past. Emma is also friends with Fallon and Kirsty and is loyal to Pat and Tony. She's fond of Henry and will no doubt keep her eyes and ears open.

Sounds like you're beginning to lose the plot, Rob.

And we're soooooooo happy about that grin

merlotgran Tue 02-Aug-16 13:51:08

I think the Susan/Jennifer relationship is very entertaining. Remember the fuss Susan made about the kitchen warming invitations?

LullyDully Tue 02-Aug-16 12:48:32

Less chickens more catching Rob out svp.

LullyDully Tue 02-Aug-16 12:47:50

No doubt Susan is a very annoying character. I am looking forward to her finding out the truth ; hopefully. ( Ienjoyed her and Jennifer when Alice and Chris got married.)

Emma will be a spy in the camp if she doesn't weaken or come under his wicked spell. The telephone call sounds interesting.

Gracesgran Tue 02-Aug-16 08:43:21

From the Mumsnet Spoilers thread And we're gathering momentum before the trial which will be only 4 weeks away.

It is all getting more interesting but just as frustrating as far as I can see.

phoenix Mon 01-Aug-16 21:35:58

Yes, interesting possibilities there, definitely! I had to grit my teeth when Susan referred to Rob as "a hero" Grrrr!

Gracesgran Mon 01-Aug-16 19:50:55

He has no hold over her merlot and I agree, she's no pushover. The way he was talking to her was possibly meant to make her feel weak and inferior but I think it will do just the opposite.

AyjayF Mon 01-Aug-16 19:31:28

Great move to have Henry with Emma ?(+ gossipmonger Susan) He will be able to blurt out truths to them + the children. Rob will not have the control over them he has over PatnTony
