"Alas poor Scruff, I knew him well, who could forget that pungent smell?"

Well, the RT isn't giving much away, so with so many strong storylines at the moment, Adam & Ian, BF Archers/Rob/Helen/Henwee/Giddyjack, not to mention the Flower & Produce Armageddon, anything could happen!

AyjayF Sat 24-Sept-16 13:33:28

Everyone keep VERY quiet about Wills house being empty!!!

phoenix Sat 24-Sept-16 12:14:27

I haven't collected the Radio Times yet, looking forward to seeing what will be happening this coming week!

Gracesgran Sat 24-Sept-16 10:15:27

I hope we actually get to the point where he has the assessment LG and then I think we will have some articles like the ones about the law, coercive control, etc., that have been prompted by the programme. In RL I imagine there would be a long waiting list although, as he is involved with a child it may push him up the list.

I wish we listeners were party to some of the psychological assessment stuff as it would give an insight into how some damaged individuals minds function. Too much to ask I know - just thinking. I do like to dissect things, psychologically. Sad eh?

Gracesgran Sat 24-Sept-16 08:14:13

Isn't Rob supposed to be having a psychological assessment? I wonder how long it will take to give him an appointment?

mumofmadboys Sat 24-Sept-16 07:34:23

I was just wondering if Helen takes the accusation of rape further and say Rob is found guilty then would he lose his right to see Jack if it could be shown his conception was the result of rape??

Gracesgran Sat 24-Sept-16 07:24:10

Maintenance, AjayF? No one has mentioned it have they?

AyjayF Sat 24-Sept-16 06:54:50

Is Rob paying 'upkeep' for Jack? ( Can't think of the right word)

merlotgran Fri 23-Sept-16 21:33:11

Hopefully soon when Helen realises her finances are in a complete mess because Rob has spent all Peggy's money and probably run up a huge overdraft on their joint account.

grumppa Fri 23-Sept-16 21:15:46

When will Rob get the divorce papers from Helen's solicitor?

Gracesgran Fri 23-Sept-16 20:07:23

Brilliantly written and acted episode. I have to say that to take the awfulness out of a man like that. Poor, poor Henry.

Just looked up the exact meaning of Narcissism and it is the pursuit of gratification from vanity or egotistic admiration of one's own attributes. That really sums him up. He weaves his own story but the sad thing is he will do anything he can to make it seem true. I do hope Helen has closed their joint bank account or I can see him (he may already have done so) taking out loans, etc., and I have no doubt the money from Peggy is long gone.

I really want Justin to decide not to go through with his contract but dread what his reaction would be.

AyjayF I think Fabrice is both a man and a salon from the days when hairdressers called themselves something French and then named their Salon after themselves.

Phoenix, you're right, it will be hard to explain it to Henry, especially as jack sees daddy. Henry is at the age when children blame themselves. Let's hope some one with experience, sense and professional understanding is advising Helen and the bridgecfarm family on the least damaging explanation to give Henry now and as things change.
I live in hope the psychological assessment recommends no direct contact between jack and rob. Also that rob leaves the village for a period of time long enough for Helen to rebuild trust with Henry and start a proper life with her boys

merlotgran Fri 23-Sept-16 19:41:34

That should be, GiddyJack of course.

merlotgran Fri 23-Sept-16 19:41:10

Does anyone know why Ursula isn't allowed to see Jack when Rob does?

phoenix Fri 23-Sept-16 19:28:13

Yep, merlot, It's looking that way! Although, sitting on the fence to the extent that I get splinters in my bottom, it's probably going to be pretty hard for Henwee to understand why he can't see "Daddy" anymore!

suzied Fri 23-Sept-16 19:26:31

He said he would have such a good salary he could afford somewhere less pokey ...Ambridge won't get rid of him that easily ...

merlotgran Fri 23-Sept-16 19:23:49

How on earth is he going to be able to buy a house?

He's going to stalk Henry I fear.

phoenix Fri 23-Sept-16 19:09:22

Rob: "He'll be excited to see his Daddy"!!!!

Good grief!

phoenix Fri 23-Sept-16 15:46:42

Looking forward to a good blend of usual Ambridge stuff (flower & produce etc) and the Rob thing, sort of radio sweet & sour!

merlotgran Fri 23-Sept-16 13:10:26

With Rob stuck in the tea room, Helen will be able to enjoy taking Henry to the Flower and Produce show without fear of being stalked.

Gracesgran Fri 23-Sept-16 12:58:33

It is lovely isn't it AyjayF. The Rob/Helen saga will continue to weave in and out but that is very "Archers" and also more bearable than recent episodes.

AyjayF Fri 23-Sept-16 12:44:55

Really pleased we are back to real Ambridge stuff. Chutney + jam + the silent Fabrice is back! Is that a person or the salon?

Iam64 Fri 23-Sept-16 11:50:20

I enjoy the occasional visit to the mums et thread. I'm away so unlikely to have consistent wifi for a couple of weeks so, what are the mumsnet addicts saying about contact? In Pat's shoes, i wouldn't want rob in my home. Situations like this are all too common and resources so limited.

Nandalot Fri 23-Sept-16 11:32:33

Should I offer these to Josh? Have just been pulling up some beetroot and in between have found loads of fungus that looks just like pasta shells. He was after something exotic. If they turn out to be poisonous I could offer some to Rob.
