Loved Cracker, love Julie Walters but shan't watch again. Depressing without motivating me to find out what happens next.

Excellent acting. Only watched it on catch up as it had such a good review in the paper. Kept making me think of the Rolf Harris case.

Will definitely continue watching it.

I too will watch the next part.

Didn't know about Robbie Coltrane becoming "reclusive" loved "Cracker" although that was some time ago.

Vonnie34 Wed 21-Sep-16 19:20:53

I am not sure about it yet.
Will watch it again next week.

Just watched our recording. Left me uneasy but will watch more. The subject matter is uncomfortable, well acted in the main, interested to see if it gets to a court case.

I was thankful the bedroom scene didn't go any further. That really would have been sick making.

TerriBull Wed 21-Sep-16 15:20:28

Quite dark, but engrossing. Good cast, uncomfortable subject matter, there was something of the Rolf Harris about his character, devoted wife and one damaged daughter.

petra I was also thinking that ... "Would I be investing XXX hours of my life and taken for a long ride with red herrings all the way?" But then you think ... Seven women!? Even if they tried to explain it away as fortune hunting, that couldn't apply to all.

Anyway, as I said I like Robbie Coltrane, but I already don't like his character! Sweating and salivating in the dark over what we are led to believe is a porn site ... yuk. With his wife silently standing at the top of the stairs. I'd be l-o-n-g gone. She's way too long-suffering for me, Catholic or not.

I fell asleep... drat.

petra Wed 21-Sep-16 13:15:25

I loved it. I'm already thinking: did he do it? All the evidence of porn on his phone/ computer would make some think that he did. I think it will get better and better.
I wonder if the script was offered to the BBC, thinking of Cliff Richard here.

I loved it, good to see it from the other point of view, from the accused's. I am a huge Robbie Coltrane fan, and Julie Walters is good in it too (don't always like what she does). It looks very promising. The visit to his daughter's was awkward but done excellently. About time we had some good dramas on. Other than that it's all reality tv. Now we have this and Cold Feet, great. smile

Charleygirl Wed 21-Sep-16 09:40:10

I recorded it but I have not watched it yet.

Teetime Wed 21-Sep-16 09:38:23

I went to sleep but I get the gist... not my cup of tea.

ninathenana Wed 21-Sep-16 08:59:26

Great cast but I didn't watch it as the subject matter doesn't appeal.

millymouge Wed 21-Sep-16 08:45:55

I was a little disappointed, but will see how it goes next week. Find its sometimes a little difficult to say after just one episode.

Grannyknot Wed 21-Sep-16 08:40:49

It's getting very good reviews, mainly due to Robbie Coltrane being "coaxed back onto the screen". He apparently has become quite reclusive (if one can believe the newspapers).

LullyDully Wed 21-Sep-16 08:36:39

Will give it a another go, not keen despite the wonderful cast.

Christinefrance Wed 21-Sep-16 08:20:29

I like Robbie Coltrane too and of course Julie Walters.. Not sure if this drama will hold my attention though.

Eloethan Wed 21-Sep-16 01:08:44

So far it seems pretty good to me.

Grannyknot Tue 20-Sep-16 22:22:51

We could hear just fine. I really like Robbie Coltrane as an actor.

Will reserve judgment on the rest for now.

NotTooOld Tue 20-Sep-16 22:05:05

This new drama has just finished. Did anyone else watch it? What did you think? I was troubled by the sound, couldn't hear much of it.
