It isn't something I usually comment on but

Leslie Joseph is 71 in two weeks time!!!!!!!

DaphneBroon Sun 23-Oct-16 20:28:40

I thought there was something which didn't quite gel between Lesley and Anton this week. Not a well planned dance and very little "spark" between them which I think you need for the tango. Perhaps they'd had a falling out? Anton looked a bit pissed off too so I wasn't too surprised they have gone.
So Ed is doing the Cha cha next week? The mind boggles grin

petra Sun 23-Oct-16 20:28:02

Ed Balls didn't look one bit surprised? He had that smug look as if to say " not surprised" I think he's started to believe all the hype.

suzied Sun 23-Oct-16 20:26:28

I think people vote for Ed for the amusement factor, certainly not for the dance ability.

Ana Sun 23-Oct-16 20:18:16

I don't think people are voting for Ed because they feel sorry for him, but because he tries so hard and comes across as a nice bloke!

BlueBelle Sun 23-Oct-16 20:13:45

Big shame she wasn't the worst dancer Ed should have gone silly if I was him I d be mortified to watch myself knocking good dancers out because people felt sorry for me

Liz46 Sun 23-Oct-16 20:06:43

I have enjoyed watching Lesley. She is six months older than I and amazing for her age.

cornergran Sun 23-Oct-16 20:04:12

Quite disappointed, no make that very disappointed. Sad for Lesley. Not the worst dancer on Saturday.

Alima Sun 23-Oct-16 19:57:55

What a shame Lesley is out, she was absolutely amazing. Wonder how many more good ones will have to go before Ed rightly goes.

Charleygirl Sun 23-Oct-16 17:35:39

So true felice- I personally think that as the professional works out the choreography, he/she should choose the music also, checking early in the week that the same music is not to be played twice.

felice Sun 23-Oct-16 17:28:52

I heard Claudia and her partner being critisized for their music being too fast, surely the critisism should go to the producers as they choose the music.
It seems a shame if they are marked down for something which is out of their control.

Jane10 Sun 23-Oct-16 17:03:56

That's exactly why I like him. I'd far rather he won the whole thing than one of the slicker ones with years of previous dance experience behind them.

BlueBelle Sun 23-Oct-16 15:26:53

I hope to goodness Ed thingy goes he s really the only one left who can't dance and looks silly

Jalima Sun 23-Oct-16 14:58:07

Oh yes please, Ore!

Ed and partner were only allowed 3 lifts, the last, nearly disastrous one, was one too many - his partner should have known that.
It looked a bit like King Kong's attempt to carry off Fay Wray

TerriBull Sun 23-Oct-16 14:53:25

My money is on Ore being overall winner with Danny and Daisy in the top three. I do think it's time for Ed to go now, I have warmed to him a lot, but that lift last night was awful. At the end of Sunday Politics today, Andrew Neil, after showing the clip, commented that Ed Balls could no longer be considered a safe pair of hands grin

Jane10 Sun 23-Oct-16 12:06:49

Judging by the twittersphere Ed has a lot of votes. He could easily make it to Blackpool. Whatever happens he has resurrected himself as a TV 'personality'. Win win for him and good luck to him.
Judge Rinder looks like getting a lot of personality based votes. Maybe less popular people may be in the dance off. Greg?

Wobblybits Sun 23-Oct-16 09:01:39

Sadly(IMO) this could be the end for ED, unless the public vote saves him from the dance off. If he is in the dance off, only a perfect lift could save him, but as they already did 3 lifts, they could just leave it out, but little time to practise a work around.

LullyDully Sun 23-Oct-16 08:39:06

The problem w with Ed Balls being in the dance off is the reinaction of that lift. Not sure I could face it again.

petra Sun 23-Oct-16 08:26:27

Pride cometh before a fall.

gillybob Sat 22-Oct-16 23:35:37

I agree Anya Lesley and Ed should be in the dance off. I think Ed might stay for the comedy value though. So could be Lesley and Greg ?

Loved Judge Rinder.

cornergran Sat 22-Oct-16 23:03:40

Yes, my guess is Ed and Lesley. Hopefully Lesley would triumph. Really fed up,with Ed. Yes, he tries but he's not doing that well.

Anya Sat 22-Oct-16 22:29:33

Possibly Lesley and Ed in the dance off?

I agree about the choreography for Ed's dance, very poor.

NotTooOld Sat 22-Oct-16 21:48:15

I agree about Ed, he does have a good attitude and he always says he is learning. I don't think the choreography does him any favours, all those lifts, it was as though he was being set up to fail. His partner should have stuck to the in-hold stuff which he actually performed quite well. It's a shame he's not being given the chance to show what he can do, rather than what he can't do.

Rob Rinder's boogie was great, especially the one handed cartwheel. His dance was a good show opener and deserved higher marks, I thought.

Anastacia is coming out of her shell, and not in a good way. Brendan must be a bit miffed that she did her best dance this week. I hope she goes soon.

Poor Lesley. She's such a trooper. I actually thought she and Anton did well this week but the judges thought otherwise. I reckon they'll end up in the dance off.

Jane10 Sat 22-Oct-16 20:30:00

Daisy was lovely too. I did enjoy her dance.
Judge gets my vote though. I just like Ed. No reason. Certainly not his dance skills but his attitude is great.

DaphneBroon Sat 22-Oct-16 20:06:19

I felt sorry for Ed both last week and this because the choreography does him no favours. A good professional can bring out the best in their celebrity and gloss over their weaknesses. Ed has bad arms and hands so WHY have him waving like a demented windmill. When he was actually dancing this week he was not bad, but the lifts were disastrous and swinging his partner round the floor like a floormop shows off no skills whatsoever.
Compare Kevin Clifton's or indeed Joanne Clifton's choreography for their "Celebrities". hmm

Mary59nana Sat 22-Oct-16 19:56:00

Judge Rinder was so good and a joy to watch. Ed is such a tryer bless him
