Ed has apparently lost a stone in weight. I could not stand him as an MP but there is something endearing about him now- almost human.

I also hoped that Anastacia would go, maybe next week.

Ed doesn't entertain me at all he just looks clumsy and a bit silly I cannot see how a word like cute is connected to him

Disappointed. Thought Naga would be in the dance off - but against Ed. I wonder if Anastacia will have more physical dances now. Still enjoying the series, no idea who will be next out though.

My spoiler person was right. Must avoid his tweets! Keep going Ed. Gaun yersel!

Ed's just said "I want to keep going, I want to get better" couldn't get worse definitely appalling this week, but strangely endearing with it.

Sorry to see Naga go, but based on the dance off Anastasia was the better. Great to see Ed through, even if he doesn't deserve it.

I read a 'spoiler' re who's out this week. I won't say who it apparently is but will wait and see if it was true.

I have to agree, petra. Much as I admire him for having a go, there's no way he's 'cute'...

Babies and small children, maybe, middle-aged men, no...(unless this is another Americanism that's getting a hold!)

The only enjoyment I got out of it was him trying to grin while listening to Craig's comments.

Now there are 3 words that shouldn't be in the same sentence: Ed Balls & cute.

I think the very same as you Jane10, I use to enjoy watching the improvements each week, this year most were foot faultless on the first week.

He tries so hard. Hope he gets through this week and many more. Striking a blow for the ordinary overweight middle aged men everywhere!
Re those professional 'beginners' if I'd wanted to just watch a professional dance show I would but I just don't and if the ones new to dancing are put out then I'm off and I reckon there's a fair few who think like me.

Ah but Ed is so cute - I don't want to see him go.

If Ed is not eliminated this week, it will be grossly unfair on the dancer who is dismissed. What he did was nothing like a passo; the only worse one I can remember was by Tim Wonnacott, two (?) years ago.

I'm just happy to enjoy the show regardless of what the contestants may or may not have done previously. Too much information can ruin the enjoyment.
There is some great dancing, if I could manage half the standard I would be over the moon.

I think Ed went wrong near the start
I think Ed went wrong when he agreed to be on the show.

So in my view none of them should be in the show! I'm quite sure that James Jordan is bitter about it all but he'll know what's what in the world of dance.

Re Ore and previous dance training:

People are using James and Ola as their source - which is a bit eyebrow raising considering how bitter they both are towards the show and will seemingly do anything to stir controversy and keep themselves in the limelight

Ore studied Sports Science at University and is a Sports presenter. He used to present Newsround.
If he has previous dance experience it would have been as a hobby, unlike some of the other contestants. If he had lessons, so could anyone when they know they are going to be on Strictly (even Ed could have done for all we know!).
Anyone who has been in the singing/stage show side of show business will have had some dance training, so Danny, Lesley, Will, Anastacia, Daisy, even Melvin all have previous experience (in fact Melvin taught dance, but it didn't do him any good).

Sorry to say but I'm just not enjoying this years offering. With Tameka and Will gone the only ones I like are Judge, Ed and Anton. I can't even be bothered to watch the others dance. James Jordan was tweeting that Ore has much more previous dance experience than he's admitting to...
