I’ve been enjoying it too- in middle of second series now. Downloaded episodes onto iPad so can watch in Sweden where I’m currently visiting grandchildren. I’ve discovered Netflix in different countries is different and I don’t think it’s available here.
I know it’s not completely accurate historically, but I like programmes (or books) that make you want to check real facts.

I have just signed up to Netflix and started watching The Crown. How addictive is it. I love everything about the program, the decor, the voices, the clothing and especially how it shows the establishment manipulates and is so devious at times. I think the girl playing the Queen is fascinating to watch , also the actress playing the Queen Mum. In fact all the main characters are great.

Just came recently to this following the Netflix thread, and thoroughly enjoying it.
Does anybody think the D of E isn’t portrayed in a very good light? Queen doesn’t come over very well either.

We thought it was great viewing. They are supposed to be making ninety episodes in all. Us older folks may carp at it not being historically accurate but my 40 something daughter learnt a lot from it. I'm glad they corrected the mis- information that Princess M wasn't allowed to marry Peter Townsend and made it clear that she gave him up because she didn't want to give up being royal. I can imagine the Queen sitting watching it and having a jolly good laugh.

I enjoyed it as well,as Mamie said it was not always factually correct but this did not detract from the story for me.

Yes I watched it. Good acting, beautifully shot, but historically a bit dodgy. Too much Duke of Windsor and Winston Churchill (presumably for the American market). Princess Margaret was too tall. ?

Signed up for Netflix and watching the Crown with Clare Foy playing Queen Elizabeth. It's the best thing I've watched for ages. Beautifully acted and riveting to watch. There are ten one hor episodes and I'm addicted completely. It's fantastic. Cost a fortune apparently. Wonderful.
Anyone else watching it?
