Our conservatory doesn't have curtains or blinds - but then we do have a big barky dog.... I did wonder at Olivia Coleman wandering about in the dark on her own. And I'm still worrying about Lenny Henry - he doesn't seem to have had much to do which is usually a bad sign

Totally agree with roses ref the attractiveness (or not) of D T. and OC. They are both fine actors which is what matters when they are acting. Really like DT's voice, much less harsh than some Scots accents. With the Americans it always seems to be about what an actor looks like though that is questionable. Jimmy Stewart often looked like he was thrown together but what an amazing actor.

Yes - no curtains - I noticed that - even the victim herself is ducking below window level so as not to be seen - bizarre!

I really enjoyed this last episode. Sorry it's coming to an end. Last Broadchurch ever I think.

Yes when in the conservatory with lamp on, alone in the evening, I would feel a bit exposed, and I don't even think she had the door locked. I don't like net curtains and out in the sticks I often have open curtains at night, but with a rapist on the lose it's a different matter. I liked the lighthouse ceramic lamp too.

Sad - but so predictable. Not overly impressed with this series I must admit but perhaps it seems a bit "Midsomer Murders" with knobs on - or it may just be me..........

as I never watched the previous series can anyone give me a brief update as to the little boy being killed do we know why/ how

Definitely not remotely like Midsomer Murders. It is in a totally different league.

Bluebelle - Danny was washed up on a beach and Olivia Coleman's character's (Ellie) OH fessed up to murdering him. He was the man that Mark was talking to up north in yesterday's episode. I slightly lost the plot as to why he pleaded innocent (having admitted the crime) and got acquitted. I think it was something to do with Ellie having lost her temper with him in the cells after he had fessed up and beating him up. I do not know what his motive for the murder was; although there was a hint that he might have done something that could have been interpreted as paedophillic.

The boy was a teenager ( I think) and was killed by the husband of Olivia Colman, they were in a relationship of sorts. As I write this I realise I have forgotten the details, maybe someone else can remember in more detail. That's the reason Olivia C is so upset by her son watching porn.

Thought that episode tied up some details very well. Miller actually admitted he had killed Danny. Really felt for Mark as he gelt so guilty over his son's death. Rather than being able to help him he was embroiled in an affair (or does 'at it' sound better) in the car park by the beach at the time. Unable to dispose of the man who killed his son he disposed of himself. Very well done.
Broadchurch is nothing like Midsomer Murders. MM is fluffy, pedestrian crap.

seacliff my husband always says it's the vicar in any crime drama!!!! lol.

It is another of those crime serials which is holding the attention and getting people talking, which is good. I don't think Lenny Henry is the guilty party, just obsessed and like seacliff's o.h. I have my doubts about the vicar. It is all very intriguing.

I am really gripped by it again this series, unlike the last one. Will miss it when it ends. I have also been watching Line of duty, but must confess to being rather confused with who are the "baddies".Need to pay more attention.....where have I heard that before!

What about the owner of the country pad where the party was held?

There has to be a point to him being in it other than just finding a sock?

I said it was Ed (Lenny Henry) at the beginning but now have my doubts as its just too obvious. I am still wondering about her husband though (the teacher) or would you not know if your own (albeit ex) husband raped you? What about that creepy taxi driver? he seems to have a lot to hide and his wife is a bit of a loony tune.
