The Chillenden Murders

I didn't see the first part but did watch the second part; however I did find it disturbing that there did not seem to be any substantial evidence for a secure conviction beyond reasonable doubt.

The first part must be on iplayer so I must try to watch it.

I thought it was fascinating. Found it a bit disturbing that so much of the case rested on the stories told by people who were at best unreliable and in many cases criminals. If it does result in an appeal for Michael Stone it will certainly show the value of revisiting cases where there is an element of doubt.

Michael Stone is eligible for parole in 5 years. But he won't get it. He has constantly proclaimed his innocence, and you only get parole if you admit your guilt and show remorse.
He isn't the only prisoner caught in this trap.

Watching the final part of this has left me feeling uncomfortable that possibly an innocent man has been in jail for 20 years. The fact that a vital piece of evidence has gone missing is unnerving too. It will be interesting to see the outcome of anymore appeals by Micheal Stone in the future, as he has two people who will be fighting his corner most diligently.

I watched this last night on playback. It is so interesting to see how a fresh set of eyes views evidence so differently. How awful if Micheal Stone was found not to have done the murders, cant wait to see the outcome on Tuesday evening.

I watched it too, and found it very interesting, I thought they announced the second part at the same time next week.

It's a true docu about an old crime committed 20 years ago a mum and two children attacked two murders one survived they got a man who has been inside 20 years but now re looking at the evidence with forensics having come a long way it appears it's an extremely shaky case he has always protested his innocence and the evidence he was tried on was so weak it was in places non existent It's very interesting and after watching The Trial last week and seeing how easy it is to get it wrong it really makes you think

I thought it was a weekly thing Yggdrasil or have I just presumed that

Must look for this, hadn't heard of it, thriller or documentary?

I do wish they would say when the next part would be, though.
