Jessica Fletcher's (Murder she Wrote) home in Maine. Actually I would love to be Jessica Fletcher!

How about one we wouldn’t like like Vera’s sad?

Sorry, ‘somethings gotta give’

Every episode of Midsomer Murders has at least one house I'd like to live in!

Pinkdaisy and emptyjnester get together and you've cracked it

Urmstongran Thu 08-Feb-18 18:49:13

Think it was Diane Keaton you are thinking about pink daisy not MS. ?. I love that house too! Huge windows with a gorgeous view & during the storm, all those candles! Very classy. If not that one, then the kitchen & ‘barn’ where Nigella Lawson did her Christmas cooking!

Another vote for Inspector Montelbano's house. The idea of breakfast on the balcony looking at and listening to the sea is my idea of bliss.

The Durrells house in crete I would have fun there decorating and making it look pretty. Also I like the shack in Death in paradise although I might feel different in hurricane season!! ?

Diane Keaton’s house in The Hamptons in the film, I think it was called ‘As Good As It Gets’.

I would just love to live in the Hobbit village in Lord of the Rings. I would love a semi-under the grass house all made with curves and turf over my head. Bliss!! One day I will visit New Zealand and go and see it.

Then again a house of the future that self cleans might be nice. Can't remember the film but I know it when I see it!

Deedaa Thu 08-Feb-18 14:44:41

Definitely Montalbano's house for me! I wonder if Salvo would be included with the fixtures and fittings?

Kittycat Thu 08-Feb-18 14:43:01

A Hobbit house in the Shire. My daughter visited somsome where in New Zealand where it was filmed. Just my size at 4'10""!

Tudorrose Thu 08-Feb-18 14:19:28

Half the year in Midsummer(without the murders) & half in Poirots elegant flat

pinkdaisy Thu 08-Feb-18 13:16:01

Meryl Streep’s Hamptons Beach house in ‘Something’s Gotta Give’

grandtanteJE65 Thu 08-Feb-18 13:14:10

Warren Manor!

Katek Thu 08-Feb-18 12:39:29

Any of the beautiful, white Art Deco country homes featured in Poirot would suit me. Don’t know where DH would put his clutter though.

Margs Thu 08-Feb-18 12:30:46

The house in Surbiton that was occupied by Tom and Barbara Good in the tv series "The Good Life".

But then I'd have to develop a skin like a rhinoceros to put up with a neighbour such as Margot.

Sheilasue Thu 08-Feb-18 12:18:12

Love Mary Berry’s house and garden. I like watching escape to the country some of those houses make me envious.
But live my home the best xx

Kim19 Thu 08-Feb-18 12:06:05

Roman Holiday would do nicely for me. A drop of AH & GP company would have embellished it nicely.

Are you watching the BBC series about Ikea gran5up? I'm always fascinated by the houses in sitcoms/tv series and think it must be a great job to be in charge of decorating the sets. Mind you, I was pretty upset when the BHS curtains and duvet set I'd bought for DD's bedroom turned up in EastEnders sad. I always love those houses that are sort of higgledy piggledy [sp] but very tasteful at the same time [thinks Our Family or whatever that Zoe Wannamaker/Robert Lindsay series was called] and more recently Motherland].
