Like many others, I'm really enjoying watching this series on Sunday evenings. It's such easy viewing and hilarious in parts. Just one criticism on this evening's show. When Louisa and Laurence returned to the UK for the aunt's funeral, I'm sure that a couple of times there was a reference to Bournemouth being in East Dorset. The series is set in the mid 30's and at the time , Bournemouth was in Hampshire. It wasn't until the boundary changes in 1974 that Bournemouth and Poole both became part of Dorset. As someone who was born and went to school in Bournemouth, I remember being quite put out that my home town was now in another county! Am surprised that the TV company would make an error like this. Of course I could be mistaken and have misheard some of the dialogue. Anyone else notice this? By the way, I wasn't aware that the Durrell family came from Bournemouth, even though I remember reading 'My Family and Other Animals'when I was younger.
