I watched it and like others, was really impressed at the even handed treatment of The Troubles and the way different sides dealt with the aftermath. A moving and insightful programme, imo.

Just found this thread. I thought it was a great programme and Patrick Kielty was amazing. It gave a very balanced picture of what happened and the Good Friday Agreement. Great to see Mo Mowlam, her contribution is someimes overlooked, she was a fantastic woman.

I watched this programme today. Interesting and moving. The things some people have had to contend with in life that you'd never know from their public persona.

Yes, I hesitated about watching but I got drawn in too and was very impressed by him and his attitude.
The fact that he and Arlene Foster seemed to get on so well and had a lot in common despite their differing views was interesting too.

Good to see Mo Mowlam again and remember all that she did.

Same here kitty on all counts actually. Found it quite moving, and poignant seeing Mo Mowlam too.

Did anyone watch this last night. I hadn't intended to but got drawn in. Patrick Kielty seems so likable and sensitive, with a great attitude to what happened to his father.
