There's a biopic out on DVD about his life and music called "I saw the Light", starring Tom Hiddleston playing Hank (he can actually sing, which surprised me). I enjoyed it. (available from Amazon)

Both my DH and I are great fans of Country and Gospel music,whilst I would say Hank Williams rating near the top of our list where country music singers are concerned.
In "those days" the music really got me in my spirit whilst the words spoke volumes to your soul............meaningful and lasting.
So thanks for the tip bootie 41 we shall certainly follow your advice.

My dad loves Hank Williams. I agree he was a brilliant writer . So thank you for sharing information about Luke the Drifter bootie41 I will look him up later .

Anyone who likes his music, I have just read a book and it mentions Hank going under the name of Luke the drifter, I have been on YouTube and listened to some of the songs it is fantastic, never hear words like them today so poinant
