I was very shocked the first time (with Robin Ellis) so this time I knew what to expect. However, still a very emotional episode.

She made a pretty good looking corpse.

Sometimes I wish Demelza would stop being so understanding of Ross .

I remember the 1970s version where Ross covers his nose with a hanky when goes to see Elizabeth's body.

At least they dumbed down her end, grumppa. In the book she stinks the house out with gangrene. Only Dwight with his knowledge of death in a French prison realises the end is nigh. I was longing for Demelza to tell Rarss to piss off and get over himself.

I wonder why Valentine makes me think of Damien in The Omen?

An insipid character; no great loss.
