Excellent start to this new series ,brilliant edge of the seat scenes on the train.I've never come across this actor before but he is very believable.I'm looking forward to tomorrows instalment.I suppose it should have been expected that it was good as its from the people who made Line of Duty ,one of my favourite series'

DH was convinced that she is alive. I pooh poohed it! I may have to eat humble pie!!!! grrrr!!!?

travelsafar Mon 10-Sept-18 13:52:10

I fell asleep so have to watch it again!!!!

ninathenana Mon 10-Sept-18 13:25:55

kitty I don't think we can claim that one.
DH is very good at it too.

kittylester Mon 10-Sept-18 12:28:04

We should form a partnership jalima!! DH says I'm too good at guessing what happens.

I think it's that much maligned phenomenon known as Women's Intuition!

trisher Mon 10-Sept-18 12:17:12

What happened to the nice quiet bloke in the jacket and pullover, he suddenly seems to have become very Machiavelian!

Jalima1108 Mon 10-Sept-18 12:11:00

DH said 'I suppose you wrote the script as usual'

grin

sodapop Mon 10-Sept-18 12:02:55

Yes I thought so too Jalima

Jalima1108 Mon 10-Sept-18 11:56:14

It was a bit early to write Keeley Hawes out - do you think she's still alive and been spirited away somewhere?

crystaltipps Mon 10-Sept-18 11:01:54

Oh gawd I’m going to have to watch last nights episode again as there’s so many different threads running through this one . It’s obviously an inside job but can’t work out who yet and David’s deterioration is hard to watch. We can see now why the rumpy pumpy happened so early on.

Brunette10 Sat 08-Sept-18 14:54:17

Just watched last Sunday's episode of Bodyguard - wow! exciting stuff on all levels!. Can't wait for this Sunday.

I don’t suppose busy politicians have a lot of time for a “slow burn”!

Riverwalk Thu 30-Aug-18 10:02:27

Did your friend see any of the filming?

No, she didn't Eloethan but she's away a lot.

I'm another who assumed they'd get into bed but not as early as the second episode - no decency these days! grin

Jalima1108 Tue 28-Aug-18 19:39:37

and, of course, having his buddy from the war in Afghanistan as the would-be assassin was very predictable.

Jalima1108 Tue 28-Aug-18 19:38:47

Unless, of course, Gina McKee wanted to be rid of the Home Secretary …..

Brunette10 Tue 28-Aug-18 17:31:48

Yes Teetime, I said exactly the same, helicopters would have been on the scene very quickly.

Sparklefizz Tue 28-Aug-18 17:04:49

I love Keeley Hawes. She's such a versatile actress.

Teetime Tue 28-Aug-18 14:51:10

Where was the helicopter - there is always a police helicopter circling over these movements of high profile politicians. Still it wouldnt make such a good story would it? I think its Ok. I'm not a fan of Keeley Hawes so pouty and pleased with herself.

Grannyknot Tue 28-Aug-18 10:23:25

Jalima but picking holes is part of the fun ... smile

Jalima1108 Tue 28-Aug-18 10:18:37

It is Gk - and I don't know why the windows weren't bullet-proof.

Still, it's what makes a thrilling story, DH is always telling me off for picking holes in these kinds of series.

JessK Tue 28-Aug-18 09:40:57

Really enjoyable and tense thriller. Can't wait for the next episode. Some great acting gives it credibility.

Grannyknot Tue 28-Aug-18 09:30:25

That's implausible that the driver would have his window down!

Especially as Mr Bodyguard keeps telling everyone what to do...

He's good, so is Mrs Durrells.

merlotgran Tue 28-Aug-18 09:23:53

I thought the car windows were not bulletproof but the armoured body of the car was. That's why he kept yelling at her to keep her head down below window level.

We were also yelling 'Keep your head down, you silly woman' when she kept popping up. grin

Iam64 Tue 28-Aug-18 08:41:54

The car windows are bullet proof. The driver had his window open.
Brilliant series, great key actors.

Brunette10 Tue 28-Aug-18 08:22:09

Wow! Last night's episode was exciting. Thought they would get together but not that soon. Home Secretary showing her weakness here I think but I bet she comes back all guns blazing. Bit frightening to say the least with the shooting but was acted brilliantly I thought.

sodapop Tue 28-Aug-18 08:17:11

Yes I wondered how the driver was shot callgirl1 why no bulletproof windows?
I enjoyed the second episode but we were taking bets from the start how long it would be before the first sexual encounter. A bit predictable but I wouldn't turn him down ?
