KILLING EVE

Anyone watching Killing Eve? Think it's brilliant, all actors are very good and story is very gripping. Jodie Comer is very glamorous but obviously psychotic in her quest to kill everyone in her way. It's up there I think with The Bodyguard. Just want to watch the whole series.

Sorry! Only watched half an episode but didn’t like it at all.
Not sure why, yes it was gruesome in places, but mainly it failed to engage me because the main players were so unbelievable ( with unbelievable dialogue too.)

Well I’m glad I persevered with this series as so many people recommended it. Just watched episodes 4 and 5 and am finding it fascinating as well as gruesome.

Apologies if this has been said before. The village where the pretty cottage was where the Assasin was looking for the man she was chasing, is the same village where they filmed The Vicar of Dibley. Kept expecting to see Dawn French walk by. It is called Turville in Oxfordshire.

Anyway back to the next episode.

We started watching it the other night on catch up and had to watch more!

It's a well told tale and fairly easy to follow (which makes a change from some convoluted dramas) and the subject matter is chilling but fascinating too. The subject matter - a psycopath killing various people in every episode, sometimes two or more, isn't usually my cup of tea, but I became hooked quite quickly.

I am not one for bloodthirsty things but there is also a vein of humour running through it and the acting is very good. *

*Spoiler alert, maybe" Read no further if you have just started the series.

We actually laughed out loud when we heard the thud of her boyfriend falling to the floor after pinching her perfume. The looks on their faces!

And the weird bit when she made her female victim wave goodbye once she'd checked she had no pulse! You really shouldn't be this entertained by something so grisly. grin It's very well made.

Love this programme, quirky with some very good characters. Dark but not without humour.

Auntieflo Sun 30-Sept-18 17:51:28

We both love Killing Eve, so this is a bit off kilter.
Of those of you who are watching 'Strangers', was I mistaken, or did we see a quick flash of the girl playing Eve in one scene probably in episode 2?

I have watched it all and found it quite humorous if a bit gory. I'm glad I'm not the only one to fancy Kim Bodnia....if only DH would grow a beard....

Telly Sun 30-Sept-18 10:56:08

I thought the violence was so graphic that I found it revolting and have given up. I think this type of programe is designed to desensitise. I wondered how low can it go??

OO-er Sparkle shock. I thought it was his dance steps you were interested in!!!

Washerwoman Tue 25-Sept-18 21:27:04

We started with the first 2 episodes last night.DH hadn't really noticed it was on but reading this forum and seeing the trailers I was intrigued, but also a bit concerned about coping with gruesome scenes.Having reassurance from these posts I suggested we start watching, and so glad we did. It's refreshingly different, and such a good cast.Looking forward to binge watching over the next few days.

Sparklefizz Tue 25-Sept-18 19:48:19

trisher No, out of the sequins would be fine grin blush grin !!!

oldbatty Tue 25-Sept-18 17:07:31

He is so attractive in a manly, smelly way ha ha.

Newatthis Tue 25-Sept-18 17:04:04

I thought it was so good that I downloaded and watched all the episodes and binge watched it - all episodes. (iPlayer - on demand, if you can't wait for the next episode like me!) However, I should have kept it weekly then I would have something to look forward to watching each week as there's not much on at the moment.

trisher Tue 25-Sept-18 16:27:59

I saw him first oldbatty sorry!
Sparkefizz only wants him in sequins so she'll have to wait.

oldbatty Tue 25-Sept-18 16:25:02

omg Martin, I am in love with him.

NanKate Tue 25-Sept-18 16:17:51

I will give it another go as so many of you like it. I will report back.

Sparklefizz Mon 24-Sept-18 18:18:30

Yes, he is fanciable, trisher .... I agree. Now if he was on Strictly .,...... blush .... goes off into a daydream.

trisher Mon 24-Sept-18 14:19:54

You're welcome Sparklefizz must confess I thought he was quite fanciable as Martin and would have liked him to feature in later series, but it was nice to find him in this.

Sparklefizz Mon 24-Sept-18 13:33:02

trisher Thank you for identifying Martin from The Bridge.... I knew he was familiar and have been wracking my brains! confused

trisher Mon 24-Sept-18 12:47:01

I love it. Both the female leads are great and even the psycopathic killer is charismatic. Bit bloody in parts but I just look away. Nice to see the actor who played Martin in The Bridge again.

tiredoldwoman Wed 19-Sept-18 05:19:57

I loved it too and found it very funny . Refreshing , unusual , quirky tale ! Does anyone remember The Assasination Bureau , it reminded me of that and the funny little tune that went with it ?

gulligranny Tue 18-Sept-18 21:44:55

Absolutely loving it. It's so quirky and even funny, which is an odd thing when the "heroine" is a psychopathic killer ...
The whole cast is great but Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh are both brilliant. I've watched 3 episodes and am going to binge the rest on Saturday, I can't wait!

seacliff Tue 18-Sept-18 21:26:47

I liked it, apart from the violent bits. I always fast forward through them!

cornergran Tue 18-Sept-18 19:51:09

Mr C liked it, I had half and eye on it, the rest on the iPad. Don’t think it’s for me but it might grow in me I guess.

NanKate Tue 18-Sept-18 18:14:41

Not my scene even though I usually like quirky. It is now off my to watch list.

Maybelle Mon 17-Sept-18 19:13:56

Watched half, really enjoyed it and then went to sleep in the middle !
