One with Diana Dors, can't remember the title but she was in prison. I think she was a much underrated actress.

I love Colonel March and his Department of Queer Complaints. Boris Karloff makes it fascinating.
No television, I watch stuff on laptop but this one I see on a proper set.

Also saw a cracker the other week.
Policeman was framed for murder of a husband after being seduced by the man's rich wife. Closing credits ran over the image of the prison where he was to be hanged.

“Yield to the Night” Ilovecheese. I agree, DD was much underrated.

Gmelon, I love the Colonel March series as well. Joan Sims has her 1953 film debut as a secretary in one of the first three episodes, as they joined the first three episodes together to create a film version. Apparently Boris Karloff had a pin hole in his eye patch so that he could see what was going on. Have you noticed that Colonel March’s policeman sidekick changes accents half way through the series (or between each episode if the series order has been muddled up). In half the episodes the sidekick has a nondescript English accent and in the other half he has a Scottish accent!

Do you know, I thought it was just me with the accent thing!
I'm glad someone else noticed.
I'll look more closely at the eye patch. Our modern televisions might give it away.
I also like the little films in between, snippets of forgotten British lives.

The channel does tend to repeat some films quite often, which I don’t mind as if you miss something it is likely to be on again in the future. The 1970s remake of The Thirty nine steps with Robert Powell hanging off BigBen and the 1970s remake of The Lady Vanishes seem to be on all the time.
