We have also watched the 1st series of "Widows" from 1985 - DH didn't catch it then, and although it seems a bit dated (the hairstyles and clothes) it really was excellent.

And yes, Lynne59, beguiling is exactly the word for Ruth Wilson. Just like Jodie Comer in "Killing Eve" which DH isn't sure he is ready for, but which I have already binged on.

I must check Luther out. My best discovery so far has been Line Of Duty. I watcehes Series 3 first on tv, then 1 and 2 over one weekend on BBC iplayer and Series 4 on tv.

"Luther" is brilliant. There is a very sad ending though...and yes, Ruth Wilson is a bit duck-billed looking, but very beguiling, I reckon.

We have just discovered "Luther"! We are now working our way through from Series 1 and wondering why it didn't cross our radar earlier. A bit bloodthirsty and violent but intriguing and well-acted (plus DH is now fixated on Ruth Wilson's lips ....)
