Thought it was very good.

I really enjoyed it. It’s a must see on I player for anyone who didn’t see it, especially doting parents!

I enjoyed it as well, a little light relief. Reminded me of that other perennial with John Thompson and the Christmas lights. Nice to see a decent sitcom for a change,

I thought it was great - light-hearted and good Christmassy fare. We all watched it together and all ages could enjoy it.

with two funny actors and a great storyline well told.

I agree henetha. I rather like Stephen Merchant and his hangdog expressions. I really enjoyed it and it was a Christmassy story.... funny, but with a moral in the tale. I would highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't watched it yet.

He went to school with my daughter when we lived near Bristol.

I remember when he said he was looking for a wife, he'd love to be maried.
I told DD she could bring him home if she liked (she was living in Bristol then)
She didn't.

I asked my daughter if he was the "class clown" but she said no, he was very quiet.

I just watched this and really enjoyed it. I don’t think I would have watched it if it hadn’t been for these recommendations so thank you everybody.

My daughter recommended us to watch this and we really enjoyed it but did anyone else find it a bit stressful too? Especially when he flooded the car in the ford!
