Smoochy Music

Yesterday DH and I had some lovely music on the Sonos courtesy of Midnight Café Radio- lovely old standards from 50s, 60s many from the older musicals. We wondered what people today smooch too - or is smooching out now as well- do they just get straight at it as per TV programmes where foreplay seems to mean being thrown against a wall, the girl leaping up to be carried by the male to the bed where they then tear their clothes off? What has happened to smooching and smoochy music?

I have never smooched in my life! I must have met the wrong (right for me) kind of guys. Similar to having a massage ...Yuk!! I did have a head massage once that resulted in a nose bleed. I rest my case !

Slow dancing, snuggling, cuddling up really close; all that kind of stuff.

DS and DIL stayed overnight. DIL asked Alexa to play Jon Bon Jovi, then they disappeared . I popped into the kitchen for something, and there they were 'smooching'.
Lovely.

I was born in the 1960's and, consequently, my idea of smooching is us bouncing around (can still just about do this) to a good punk song or some heavy rock/metal - we never did the icky slow dance thing, moshing is still more our thing (even in our 50s!) grin

Smooth FM and Gold FM play quite a few Simply Red, Norah Jones, Andy Williams and Ella Fitzgerald songs.

My lovely bloke is up for smooching any time, day and night. If we were going to do it to music it would probably be late sixties / early seventies slow rock music.

I'm not quite that old, but remember it played at home by my elders during WW2.

Paddyann I adore Paulo Nutini but what's happened to him? He seems to have disappeared over the last few years.
Been waiting forever for a new album.

I'm not a Buble fan Marion but I'll smooch to Last Request by Paolo anytime

It goes like the music nowadays - fast and furious, don't stop me now.

How I remember smooching to the last waltz at my local dance studio, every Saturday, and sometimes a Friday night.

homefarm you’re obviously too young to be on Gransnet. Sorry.

teetime you might like Rod Stewart’s Great American Songbook album and Bryan Ferry’s As Time Goes By.
And get Mr Teetime to ballroom dancing classes and learn to Foxtrot.
