Just finished watching this series on catchup. It was fantastic
Brilliant acting from all the cast with some exceptional characters. Many many well known faces acted in this series and i can imagine their delight at being offered the parts, it must be an actor or actresses dream to play these Dickensian roles. If you like Dickens take a look i am sure it will not disappointed.

There are two versions about. One with Derek Jacobi and Max Wall and a newer longer version with Claire Foy. Both very good and worth watching for the comparison. It's marvellous how Dickens never palls; the mark of genius I suppose.

I watched this sometime ago and loved it. The characters in it are marvellous. I can imgine many actors wanting to have a role in a series like this it has great scope for them to show their talents.

Bleak house is out there as well. Excellent acting from the likes of Johnny Vegas, Gillian Anderson, Anna Maxwell-Martin et al..

Both of the series mentioned above are superb. My favourite though is "Our Mutual Friend", starring a young Keeley Hawes and Anna Friel, as well as Timothy Spall, Pam Ferris, Peter Vaughan, Paul McGann, Steven Mackintosh and David Morrissey. It's absolutely brilliant.

I've seen a lot of Dickens's films and love them. Not long watched David Copperfield on the Drama channel which was last week I think.

Of course Dickensian can be added to this list of goodies. Marvellous characters in this series too. I think it is still on Netflix if anyone wants to view.

I loved Dickensian as I loved the film "The Man who Invented Christmas" with the gorgeous Dan Stevens as Dickens (Netflix).
