I would love to live in Ramsey Street ? ( yes I know its not real)
I watch the Move Down Under programme ( cant remember exact name ). Australia seems a great place to live.

Paul was shot by his first wife, Terri. Until then he was a nice young man, but on recovering he became very embittered, never did go back to being "nice".

That last two hander episode with Jarrod and Sonja was so well acted and emotional. I still keep thinking about it.
She was an interesting and sympathetic character, I’ll miss her.
I enjoy both Neighbours and Home and Away but don’t watch any other soaps. I love the sun and the frequent funny moments as well as the drama.

I've watched it since Paul Robinson was shot by an ex-wife (Gail?). I do think some of the storylines are dragged out, eg Paul and Terese's will they, won't they epic. Elly is grating on my nerves at the moment but I do love the programme and agree that Sonya's demise was very well done.

Joe and Mrs Mangel were both in The Sullivans.

I’ve watched it from the beginning as well, I still record it and watch it after dinner in the evening. I hope they don’t bring back Andrea/Dee. There have been some great characters Des and Daphne, Mike, Brad, Libby, Drew, Madge and Harold. It was sad to see Sonya go.

EllanVannin Tue 12-Mar-19 18:01:08

" Joe Mangel " was in the Dancing on Ice programme.

EllanVannin Tue 12-Mar-19 17:59:19

I watched it years ago when Mrs Mangel and Joe were in it. Madge and Charlene too.

I don't know why I stopped watching it-----probably because each time I went to Australia ( 3 months at a time ) I'd lost track of each episode here because in Oz, the episodes are in advance. I really did like it though.

I'd got interested in Home and Away instead having been to the area where it's filmed " Summer Bay " which is a place called Palm Beach, not far from where my D and family live. A lovely area with a beautiful beach.

My mother used to watch it and I asked why ( “ that rubbish) , Now I’m an avid watcher myself! I find the Andrea thing implausible, unless she and Dee were identical twins adopted at birth!

annep1 Tue 12-Mar-19 15:59:35

It was stupid Anniebach and bringing Dee back would be too but it's been done before (Dallas ).
Sometimes story lines become a bit incredible (I watch Coronation Street too) and I think, I'm not watching any longer, but then I get over it.
And yes I would quite gladly have given up some others, especially Dipi.

Anniebach Tue 12-Mar-19 10:03:45

annepl the story line with Andrea was stupid. I don’t see how they could explain the real Dee coming back but why was she mentioned when Sonya was dying.

They could have written quite a few out who I wouldn’t have missed but not Sonya ?

annep1 Tue 12-Mar-19 09:25:26

I absolutely love Neighbours Anniebach. I have always watched it (and the Sullivans).
I too cried when Sonya died. The storyline and acting were superb.
I'm very annoyed at Sonya being chosen to leave. She's a wonderful character in Neighbours. And if they resurrect Dee how much is being saved? The whole Dee storyline is stupid anyway. I wish they would let it die. I hope it doesn't spoil it for me if she returns.

Anniebach Tue 12-Mar-19 08:46:14

My favourites leave and the those who irritate me stay. I still miss Lucas .

I do think the talk of Dee being seen could lead to a new story line, why mention her when Sonya was dying?

RosieLeah Tue 12-Mar-19 06:53:53

I stopped watching Neighbours some years ago...all the most interesting characters had left. However, I caught the tail end of an episode recently and decided to watch the last scene with Sonya. I thought the whole thing was beautifully done. It must be difficult for actors to do a scene like that but the acting was spot-on. Very moving.

I`m nearly up there with you Annie, I came upon Neighbours a few weeks after it started, when I was off work sick for 3 months. After I went back I had my daughter tape it for me. I was reading their website, the actress who played Sonya said she didn`t want to leave, but the company that make the programme were making cutbacks to save money, and she was the one they decided should go. I know it`s daft, but today`s episode had me in tears.

Anniebach Mon 11-Mar-19 15:00:19

Thought I was the only viewer ?.

I have watched it from the start, my daughters were at home and they enjoyed it. They married, gave up watching it and I
Am still.

I thought too the acting through the cancer story line was excellent . What will Toadie do?

Coincidence that Andrea told Sonya someone had seen Dee ?
Yes Hugo should have a fish name by now.

paddyann Mon 11-Mar-19 14:44:53

its been a very well played storyline .Eve's acting was fantastic and so believeable .Shame they got rid of one of their great actresses when there are so many who aren't good at all .Poor Toady whats in store for him now ?

tanith Mon 11-Mar-19 14:04:11

No I’ll miss her too, I thought her acting was superb during the whole cancer story. Poor Toady, Nellyfish and Hugo (when’s he going to get his fish name?) Can’t remember how many years I’ve watched ?

Anniebach Mon 11-Mar-19 13:08:55

Am I the only one who will miss Sonya ?
